Our immigrant/refugee settlement sector is awash in technology. Unfortunately, in many cases the most powerful and actively used technologies are sitting in many workers' pockets, not on their desktops. Our clients are well ahead of us in technology use.
There are already great examples of innovative agencies offering online and hybrid services across the country. We have the starting knowledge and models to work from to create a cross-canada, sector wide training program to get agencies up and running on technology-mediated human services.
